The man is a true Scot, through and through, the type who only engages in activities that are guaranteed to make him money....
History:
In spring of 2001 he was about 25 years old and destiny had taken him to work in Arhus (in the Jutland in Denmark). He had his own office, his own personal computer, and was usually looking at the worlds stock exchanges in order to pursue the course of his actions in real-time and regularly.
One day, suddenly, and much to everyone's surprise, he left the stock-exchange pages and began playing around with various internet games. It looked interesting and people at the office began to wonder what he was trying to achieve. Very excitedly, he began talking of a plan, a plan, he claimed, which was going to win him big bucks. A few days previously he had seen on the TV, a news item about online gaming. After researching the area, he threw himself in the deep end- and hey presto, in a couple of days he was receiving checks in the mail.
No one believed that this project would go anywhere, everyone was acutely aware of the number of people who lose money gambling. Some people even claim that people have lost wives in poker!
A week passed and the first check actually, to people's disbelief, arrived in the mail. This awoke people's interest and if this man believed there was money to be made, without wearing yourself too thin, most people were there with him.
I took him at his word and therefore, in May 2001 I prudently tested an online casino, and it turned out that this man was right. It was really easy to complete the bonus conditions, by making "flat bets" in blackjack of around $1-$2 only, and then withdraw the money by check.
In the months that followed, we chased many an online gambling salon, especially those casinos pertaining to the Boss Media group.
I lost count of the number of cheques coming through, each in the value of around $30-60, that arrived on my doormat. It was money for the taking and at that time the dollar and pound had a good exchange rate for me. In any case, I was converted, unlike my father. I think that the last thing he said to me about the subject was "you'll see son, you'll lose all your money to this pie in the sky scheme".
Birth of the Mormor system:
During the summer of 2001 I played loads of casinos, however, there were still many more left unexplored, but again this man, who had shown me the technique, started doing some strange things.
He began talking about a system, which would, with perseverance, lead to a lot of money. Each time that I won a game, I should simply put more money on the table. I followed his system, and again I was convinced that it worked. Since that day, about 90% of the time that I play blackjack at a virtual casino, I use the Mormor strategy.
The Mormor system signifies that each time I win, I then raise my wager in the following fashion: 2-4-4-6-8-10-12, and so on. If I lose I start again from 2 and I stay on until that time that I begin to win again. The man created a spreadsheet in Excel which should how much money you would win in a good run- and it is this that I anticipate.
Waiting for a good run:
At the time (circa 2001) there were good runs occurring all the time. Some casinos were better than others, some were absolutely fantastic and you won every time, and often I was able to withdraw rather large amounts of money.
Unfortunately, the casinos began to expel us from their sites, and in terms of a good run, these began to happen only around once a day, practically eliminating long-runs. Before, I could have a run of 12-15 winning hands before I lost, but this stopped happening. Now it is a battle to win even a small amount. However, occasionally the software seems to like me, and in these cases I win again.
Microgaming does not accept the Mormor system at all, they do not go hand in hand, and since they introduced one bet a day, it is totally impossible to have a good run. The last time I won using the technique, at Microgaming, was more than two years ago...
I have had some good experiences with the Random Logic network. When I play "just for fun"- I play on one of their casinos. Next to all the great bonuses that I receive, I get a feel, very quickly, for whether I am going to get a run or not. I have to say here that runs are generally first going in a negative direction, but if they turn positive, they can move really quickly. When you do win, you can change $50 into $1000 in a couple of hours. Do not forget though, that I always return to $5 when I lose.
I keep my distance from Boss Media now, my favourite software, in the past before the introduction of the one bet rule, was that of Boss Media, which went very well with the Mormor system, but now it is just not worth playing.
Playtech and Odds On are two good types to play using the Mormor technique. There are quite a few good runs, but it is relatively difficult to get a run that lasts as long as they use to in the early days.
I have left Chartwell for last; this is an absolutely fantastic piece of software. There are non-stop runs. Generally you win 6 hands and lose 6 hands, etc. When I play at a casino with Chartwell software, I will win in around 90% of cases; VC casino, Coral Casino and Eurobet are my particular favourites.
There you are then, a small introduction to the Mormor system and some history of its inception. I still play it often enough and all blackjack games can incorporate this system. Lately I have been experimenting with poker and video poker too.
The Scot plays quite often too, but he is beginning to incorporated the technique into online poker, with quite a good success rate.
To conclude, why is it called the Mormor system? Simply because the first person to document the technique online was called Mormor. Although the success of the technique has been largely depleted, it is still worth giving a go, try playing with the bonuses to see how you fair, if not see if you can adapt it yourself to other games, if you are successful, keep quite for a bit, the more you let the cat out of the bag the more casinos will cotton on and take steps to make your system unworkable.
