The only reason there is to visit the world's greatest gambling town is, you might have guessed it, gambling! There are so many casinos each with a massive array of different gambling games that to go to Las Vegas without having a flutter would be ridiculous. Even though gambling is the main event for anyone visiting Las Vegas, there are plenty of other things to do too, some that you cannot do anywhere else in the world.
There are many experiences to be had in the wonderful Sin City, and a visit there will stay in your memory for a long time to come. Some of the most exciting experiences people have in Las Vegas are to do with the hotel in which they choose to stay in. here is a list and description of some of the best hotels that Las Vegas has to offer.
Caesars Palace:
If you love to gamble on sports bets then the Caesar palace is definitely the hotel for you, there is no other hotel in Las Vegas that can offer the sports gambler more than this one. The casino has a roman theme with one of the most world renowned and popular Sportsbook. The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable, although not the best in Las Vegas, they are very good value for money, and if your pay check does not stretch to decadence then this hotel will be just what you want and need.
Ritz-Carlton:
This is for those of you who are travelling as a family and is probably amongst the most family friendly of all the Las Vegas hotels. It is a fair way from the hubbub of the main city, but they offer frequent, and free, shuttles into the main city, it is ideal for those of you with young children who want to keep them away from the noise and distractions of the nightlife in Sin City.
Another amazing aspect to this hotel is that they offer children's daycares for those parents who would like a break from their little ones; another massive bonus is the Ritz-Carlton's proximity to one of the most beautiful beaches you will find in the whole of the USA.
Wynn Las Vegas:
This hotel boasts its own golf course! There are not too many hotels in the world that can claim the same! The hotel was the brainchild of Steve Wynn who had the brilliant idea of a golfing experience for the patrons of his hotel. The suites that are available are absolutely sublime with wooden, polished, floors (fantastic for skidding on if you cannot afford a trip to one of Las Vegas's many fairground attraction rides) and majestical furniture that will ensure you feel yourself to be in the company of royalty!...but try to resist the urge to dine like a royal, the food is so suburb that you may find yourself a couple of inches wider than you were when you arrived!!
New York- New York:
Probably one of the most famous hotels in Las Vegas, this hotel may not provide the glitz and glamour of some of the other hotels, but it certainly offers a thrilling, heart-racing experience. This is one of the hotels that features amusement park rides! There's the Manhattan Express, a roller coaster, which stretches from the ground to the summit, a wonderfully thrilling experience for children and adults alike. Not to mention its proximity to the Las Vegas strip where you will find enough entertainment to ensure that you will need to book another holiday to Las Vegas to experience everything it has to offer.
MGM Grand:
This is the hotel for you rich people out there!! If you have the money, and you are willing to spend it on a fleeting experience, then this is the place for you. They have suites as part of the penthouse.....a place for movie stars and tycoons alike. The staff here will pander to your every whim, you will be pampered more than you were as a new born baby, and only this time you will be able to remember it!! (And you won't have to suffer the indignity of having your nappy changed- you'll need to go somewhere else if that's what you want!!). The dining experience is also second to none, and I would not be surprised if the restaurants in the hotel do not have between them at least a dozen Michelin stars.
The Bellagio:
As a gambler you may well have heard of the Bellagio, it is world renowned for the high stakes which it offers to its gambling clientele, in the famous Bobby Room. Although the main focus of the hotel is poker, the hotel has a lot more to offer, from a beautiful swimming pool, reminiscent of a tropical lagoon, to beautiful and glamorous hotel rooms. If you have the money to wager on the high rollers, and you enjoy doing so, then this hotel is certainly worth a visit at the least and if possible, at a sojourn.
Planet Hollywood:
Standing out like a lighthouse on the Las Vegas Strip, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino has some of the most deliciously yummy restaurants you could wish to find, there is shopping and entertainment, and best of all, a wonderfully large casino.
This hotel will have you reminiscing about the old movies - where Elvis Presley married his sweetheart Priscilla.
The original hotel was taken down in the late 90's, and then rebuilt from scratch. Since Planet Hollywood's arrival in Sin City the hotel has been reinvented, moving away from its original Arabian Night theme into its current, high-tech, retro attraction which is unlike any other hotel on the entire Strip.
Flamingo Description:
With its brilliant fronting, the Flamingo Las Vegas is as colourful as any of the Las Vegas casinos, its pink of course!!
The Flamingo hotel is one of the original Las Vegas decedents, and was there at the start of the modern Vegas; even though the original Flamingo hotel has long since disappeared, the hotel that bears its fathers name is as glamorous today as it ever was.
With amazingly lush gardens the hotel can at times seem to be far removed form the tacky plastic ness (that we love) of the rest of Las Vegas, with live penguins, flamingos, Mandarin ducks and Koi carp paddling in ponds and under the 3 story waterfall. The hotel boasts tennis courts, swimming pools, a world class spa, and which all amount to creating the atmosphere of a holiday resort rather than a simple casino. Entertainment is also exceptional, with a variety of performances, restaurants (including Italian and Chinese). The casino is huge with a massive 2,100 slot machines!!! 71 table games and an excellent Sportsbook facility.
