How to Play Craps.

For the average gambler, Craps has the reputation of being a very difficult and complicated game to master; in fact, it is not as hard as it may seem. Players who are intimidated by the noise and fast paced action that takes place around the table can always learn to play online. Once the basic rules are understood, the game becomes a lot simpler than otherwise thought.

The basic rules of Craps:
In Craps, a player roles a dice for the "come out roll", and makes sure that the dice touches the side of the table opposite them. If the player rolls a 2, 3 or 12 it is known as a Craps and all the bets "passed the line" are lost. If the player rolls a 7 or 11, and all the bets "passed the line" automatically wins an equal amount of money. If any of the remaining numbers are rolled it makes a "point".

The aim of the player rolling the dice is to bring about a "point", before rolling a seven. As soon as the player rolls a seven, all the bets "passed the line" are lost and a new player takes up the place of dice roller.

Betting at Craps:
Any player around the table can bet on any roll of the dice, the identity of the dice roller has no bearing on this. On the come out, players begin by placing a bet on the "passing line", the circle that is found on the carpet markings on the table. Once a "point" has been established, players can place more money behind the "passing line". We would advise you to bet with caution where the odds of the game pay very real probabilities, rather than going for the equal money offered at the first passing line. If a point has already been established, or one of the other players wants a supplementary point and plays, they can place money in the section "venue", that means that the following roll of the dice corresponds to the point for this bet.

Other Bets:
Most of the other bets that can be found on the carpet are bets with bad odds and it is best to avoid them. To the exception of the "do not pass" and the bet "non venue", that are bets against the dice roller. These bets have a very low advantage to the house, but if you play them in a bricks and mortar casino, they risk making you very unpopular, since you are betting that other players around the table lose.
