Keno is a simple and straightforward game popular among all casino players. Keno is very similar to Bingo, Lotto, or the lottery system.

Keno cards are available at Keno counters in casinos and clubs for costs between 5c and $5. Sometimes, runner boys move around handling out Keno cards. A Keno card has numbers from one to eighty. You can choose a minimum of four and a maximum of twenty numbers.

Every number you choose is a spot and hence, it could be a six-spot Keno or an eight-spot Keno and so forth. You mark your chosen number by placing an X or circling the chosen number. Thereafter, you submit the Keno card with your bet money at the Keno counter or the Keno runner collects your cards, as the case may be. You have to collect a receipt of the Keno card with the marked numbers mentioned in the receipt.

The game starts with twenty balls rolling out of a barrel or basket after a random spin of the huge Keno barrel. Keno boards or screens are present at strategic locations across huge lounges and halls in clubs and casinos. Winning numbers appear on the screen.

You can check your numbers with the winning numbers. Your payout is according to the number of marked numbers matching the winning numbers. In some special cases like ten spot Keno, you win if your numbers do not match the winning numbers.
