In order to establish which bets are the winning ones, the croupier will spin the wheel in one direction, and then he will spin a ball, similar to a ball-bearing, in the reverse direction so that it runs around the circumference of the wheel. As the wheel and the ball come to slow down and stand still, the number and colour on which the ball has finally rested will be considered the winning number and colour.

At the beginning of each round each player places their bet. Each one places the chips that they want to put in play during the round on the space on the table which corresponds to the colour or number upon which they are placing their bets.

Keep in mind that you are able to bet on any number above zero. This is the reason why you will always have several options each time that you decide to bet in a round.

The croupier is an employee of the casino and is in charge of ensuring that the game plays forward, by manipulating the roulette wheel, the balls and by announcing the different stages of the game: make your game, the game is done, no more bets, 14 red....

Once all the players have placed their bets, the croupier throws the wheel and makes the ball do a circumference of the wheel. A few seconds before the ball does its final run, the croupier will announce that there will be no more bets- from that moment on no body is allowed to place a bet, each has to stick to the bet they have already chosen, if you accidentally place a bet after this point it will be void.

Obviously, you win if the ball stops on your number or colour. After each turn of the wheel you will have to wait for the croupier to clear the table and announce the start of the next round, before you can place another bet.

So, as you may now have worked out, there is not much to learn regarding the rules of roulette. Each round is simply a case of placing a bet and of waiting patiently for the croupier to announce the various stages of the game.
