If you make the bets even, red, black, odd, high and low, then the odds for European roulette are 1.01:1, and American roulette, 1.05:1.

 

They payouts are equal for both types of game, but the odds are better for European roulette, so overall, the European is the most reasonable version to play.

With the, high, low, even, odd, red and black bets, the payout rates are 1:1, in other games, such bets would offer equal odds for a bet where there is a 1:1 chance of winning, which would have been the case with roulette had they not added the 0’s.

 

These bets are the favourites in roulette, they are the safest bet to make, but as such, the payouts are not good. However, the payoffs, as with most casino games, reflect the odds.

 

If you are looking for a little excitement though, and an excellent payoff if you win, then play the single number bets, but only play in relation to your bankroll and the amount of time you want to play for. If you got to the casino with £40 and you place 40 x £1 bets on the single number bet in roulette, then you will only be playing for around 30 minutes, if you were looking for a night out, you would be disappointed!
