Roulette: Progressive Betting Systems.

Roulette was the game which gave birth to the most popular betting system, and the least effective, the Martingale System. If the use of the Martingale System is not recommended, then you can use an alternative betting system which permits you to improve your chances of winning at roulette.

Progressive systems of betting at roulette:
Advises you to raise your bets during a losing streak, a progressive system, by contrast, will advise you to raise your bets at the point at which you begin to win. Such a system is substantially more effective, because it permits you to take advantage of winning streaks, whilst at the same time ensuring that you to risk only the same portion of your bankroll on each turn.

In other words, you are essentially risking only that which you have already won, on top of your original bankroll, the worst that can happen is that you will break-even. In the Martingale System you will always be risking your profit, and the worst that can happen is you losing all of your original bankroll.

Example of a progressive betting system for roulette:
If you want to try and employ a progressive betting system in roulette, the following example is one that you should at least go to the trouble of learning. Bet one chip on five different numbers, up until the point that one number is drawn.

At the point that one of your numbers is drawn, you will have made a profit of 30 chips during the period that you began betting on five numbers. Add an extra chip to each number, and then if one of your numbers is drawn you will make a profit of 60 chips, in addition to the previous profit of 30 chips, that is a total profit of 90 chips.

If none of your numbers are drawn on the second round of bets, you would have nonetheless made a profit of 20 chips. Continue to add chips to your numbers until the point at which none of your numbers is drawn, then begin again to the original system of adding a single chip to each of five numbers, and start the process again. With this method it is possible to make a considerable profit, while always ensuring that your losses remain at a reasonable level.

The success of betting systems in roulette:
Never forget that the house has the advantage and that you must have a fair bit of luck in order to win. The act of following a progressive betting system will not help you to win, but it will help you to capitalise on times during the game when you are in a lucky streak.
