Slot machines are typically games of chance, to win all you need is luck...and this is something everybody can have!!

- This record exceeds the previous record, which stood for 14years, by $300,000, which was for $1.3 on another slot machine in Atlantic City.

- The record for an online win on slot machines with a progressive jackpot goes to an English man of 55 years, an electrician by trade. He bet £3 on a game hosted by the Cryptologic platform, winning more than £1.5!!

Choosing a Machine:
Slot machines, at first glance, appear to be very similar, but they can have very different functions and modes of play.

-Wins
· Different machines will have different winning tables associated with them.

· The bet that you place when playing at a progressive jackpot slot machines can alter the odds of winning.

· The return rates, the percentage that a slot machine returns to the punters, will vary from machine to machine, this is true even when the actual gale is identical. The returns are usually dependent on the casino, in which they are being played, but they should be subject to certain controls to ensure a fair rate of return, this is the case in most countries and with online licences.

-Design.
· Many slot machines are habitually themed around Egypt, with fruits (the famous cherries?)

In order for the progressive jackpot to be built up, there has needed to be a steady flow of punters to the machine hedging their bets and hoping to win, day in and day out. The more these players lose, the greater the amount of the progressive jackpot...

This why we talk about a progressive jackpot, it grows progressively over time, unlike the fixed jackpots of yesteryear, and not only this, they are linked between machines, so the accumulation of funds are obtained from a whole host of machines, on the internet, the number of slots for one jackpot can reach thousands.

In fact, several machines linked to a network of progressive jackpots, will take a few cents or pence (depending where you are) from every dollar or pound put in the machine. The jackpot is thus the fruit of all the losses incurred from all players on the network.

The only thing to do in order to win this jackpot that is flashing in front of your eyes, like the proverbial carrot on a stick, is to bet the maximum bet on that machine every time you play, it is expensive, but it is the only means by which you can win.

Then it is just a case of luck carrying you forward, hopefully into a sea of gold...

Other forms of casino games will also have progressive jackpots, such as blackjack, roulette, poker and baccarat.

- For video poker machines with progressive jackpots, only a royal flush, the best possible hand you can get, will bring you the jackpot, and this can bring you thousands, if not millions, of dollars, 10, 000 times your original bet! A beautiful prize, no doubt, and every reason to stick to playing these machine your whole life!

- For progressive jackpots in blackjack, the jackpot can be won after 7 consecutive blackjacks in a row, that is to say 7 times of making 21 with the first two cards dealt. Contrary to the traditional game of blackjack, when playing a progressive variation, the player plays independently of the croupier. In order to be eligible for the progressive jackpot in blackjack, the player needs to have wagered one unit on the bonus bet too. The return on investment if you win the progressive jackpot is unprecedented, and you may win up to 5000x the amount you bet! So a bet of $1 can win you $5000- but good luck, because it is practically unheard of!

- For the progressive jackpot in roulette, the basic rules of the game remain the same as those in the American or European version- depending on the one you are playing, of course. In order to win the progressive jackpot a player must win on the same number a specified number of times, the amount of which varies from game to game and from casino to casino. It can be as high as 5x in a row, and given that there are 60 potential numbers that the ball can fall on, the odds of winning are almost phenomenally obscure.
