Casino Lab

Casino Lab Review

Bubble bubble toil and… differentiate your equations. The steaming cauldrons at Casino Lab aren’t witchcraft or wizardry but a steampunk-style laboratory overseen by a family of scientists: Philomena, Sebastian Professor Slot and young Wesley.

So this a nicely designed, character-themed slots, casino and live casino site. The colour theming is bright and colourful, and there’s been a bit of effort put into maintaining the idea that there’s a family of slightly off-kilter boffins running this place.

The people who are really running this place are Genesis Global Limit, a Malta-based company that is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority.

The company has two trading names, Casino Cruise, and Genesis, and runs 16 domain names that are licensed in the UK. Three of these are inactive, but the live ones, some of which you may now include Casino Planet, Casoola, Kassu, sloty, Spinit and Vegas Hero.

The company has no settlements or sanctions recorded against its licence.

Everything about Casino Lab looks good, but we’re going to go deeper and see if Casino Lab has test tubes that you can drink from.

We’ll look at the games on offer, but also how the company will look after you as a customer, how you cash up your account (Casino Lab is a PayPal casino), and whether that nice looking welcome offer (currently 100% deposit bonus worth up to £100 and as many as 300 free spins) is quite as reactive as it looks.

Let’s open up the lab.

Casino Lab Pros and Cons

At first look, Casino Lab is an attractive proposition, but is everything as it first appears?

1 – Licensed, legal and legitimate

We’ve checked the licence and it’s all there.

Players have a responsibility to themselves to make sure they are only playing at licensed and legitimate sites.

The first thing to check is the licence, and that’s all in good order, including no sanctions (sanctions are more common than you might think).

The site is plainly well designed, well stocked with legitimate games from excellent quality producers, and uses payment processing from the biggest names in that sector. It’s obviously legitimate.

Take a look at the URL when you log in and make sure it’s the right one ( and that the padlock is in place to show that the connection is secure.

The parent company is also licensed in Malta and Sweden and has links from GamStop, BeGambleAware, the Responsible Gaming Foundation, and Genesis Safeplay on its front page.

2 – Lots of Slots

We don’t have a full figure from the site itself, we think it’s hundreds though. The games are arranged in a never-ending scroll and in a number of ways, including by provider.

This means we can tell you that you’ll find games by: NetEnt, Play’n GO, Evolution (live games), Pragmatic Play, Yggdrasil, Microgaming, Quickspin, IsoftBet, Big Time Gaming, Wazdan, Skywind, and Push Gaming.

The slots industry is now huge and diverse, but that brings in a load of great titles, and you can browse them for high prizes too – over £21million in jackpots on offer on our visit – and with “must drop” prizes added.

New games are added all the time, with titles coming to Casino Lab every week.

3 – Spinning into Infinity!

Do you like free spins?

Everyone likes free spins right!

We’ll go into this offer in full late, and we’re very big fans of the teaching slots players how to properly understand welcome offers. With all that in mind, the possibility of 300 spins is an eye-catching and enticing promotion.

4 – Daily Prizes

Among the promotions at the site is a daily prize game from Pragmatic Play that has a weekly prize pool of £62,500.

Promotions change over time, of course, so you’ll need to act fast to get in on this particular prize pool.

Casino Lab seem to be on top of their promos game though, offering a decent slate of prizes.

5 – PayPal Casino

PayPal is a real sign of quality and legitimacy on a casino site. The world’s favourite e-wallet opted out of the gaming market for years for legal and reputational reasons. Now they’re a bit choosy about who they work with, so to see them at Casino Lab is another big tick in the merits column.

It’s part of a very good set of payment methods that includes the mobile app Boku and the usual banking options.

6 – Live Casino

Live games are what players want to play at the moment.

There are all the big titles at Casino Lab, so if you want to play roulette, blackjack, poker, baccarat, or more with live dealers then you’ll find a huge list of games at Casino Lab.

They come from the best companies too, including Evolution, who just swallowed up NetEnt, one of the other main providers of live games.

You can browse the games for hours in this live casino which has a range to suit every style of play and budget.

No doubt you, lovely reader, are perfect. Nothing on the web is though – you should see our search history! – and into every casino review, a few drops of rain must fall.

Here they are for Casino Lab.

1 – Variety is the Spice of Life

There are just 13 game providers here. OK, so “just” is doing a lot of work in that sentence and you’ll see a big choice of games, but the slots industry is now groaning with exciting new companies and smaller providers. Casino Labs could add a few of these guys to their list.

2 –Cookie Cutter

Genesis are a high-quality company and by no means the worst offender in this regard, but if you’ve seen a Genesis site elsewhere then you’ll find a lot that is familiar about Casino Lab.

This issue is usually more of a problem in the White Label market (in which large companies make sites that are run by front companies – legitimately, like a franchise) and these sites are all openly run by Genesis and nicely branded, but if you want variety you might want to sign up at just one of their sites.

3 – Wagering Requirements

Wagering requirements are no problem to put onto a cons list. Nobody likes them! Except for casino companies, of course, or they wouldn’t include them in the terms and conditions of every single offer.

They perform a function for the site, by tying in players for the longer run, but for players what do they bring but a commitment they may not wish to sign up to?

The wagering requirement here is a 40-times deposit, which is by no means the worst we’ve ever seen, but it’s not hard to get better terms on an offer.

Casino Games and Software

The games here come from a selection of top-quality providers:

NetEnt, Play’n GO, Evolution (live casino), Red Tiger, Pragmatic Play, Yggdrasil, Microgaming, Quickspin, iSoftbet, Big Time Gaming, Wazdan, Sky Wind and Push Gaming.

They are arranged in a number of ways, including:

The list included: Gonzo’s Quest Megaways, Divine Fortune Megaways, Bonanza, Temple Tumble Megaways, Piggy Riches Megaways, Great Rhino Megaways, Who Wants to be a Millionaire Megaways, Extra Chilli Megaways, The Dog House Megaways, Aztec Gold Megaways, Fu Fortunes Megaways, and Aztec Gold Extra Gold Megaways Hold & Win.

Table Games at Casino Lab

Casino games now come in two forms, which we list separately. Casino Games or RNG Casino Games are games based on classic casino games and which are computer run – RNG Stands for random number generator. Live games are played via a web and video link with live dealers and real equipment like cards, roulette tables, and so on.

These are the RNG games.

There are 25 roulette games listed. They include European, American, and French Roulette, and these are the top titles:

First Person Roulette, Lightning Roulette, Auto Roulette, European Roulette, Relax Gaming Roulette, Advanced Roulette, Small Bets European Roulette, and Roulette 5x.

Blackjack is the most popular casino card game. There were 29 titles listed on our visit, and the most popular were: First-person Blackjack, Blackjack, European Blackjack, Blackjack Plus, Vegas Strip Blackjack Multi Hand, Vegas Single Deck Blackjack Multi Hand, Vegas Downtown Blackjack Multi Hand, European Blackjack Multi Hand, Classic Blackjack Multi Hand, Blackjack Royal Pairs, Vegas Single Blackjack, Classic Blackjack, Atlantic City Blackjack, and Vegas Downtown Blackjack.

Often themed on East Asian aesthetics, the Baccarat games at Casino Lab were:

Professional Series Baccarat Banker, Baccarat First Person, Big Win Baccarat, Baccarat Punto Blanco, Punto Banco, No Commission Baccarat, and two Baccarat titles.

Other Games at Casino Lab

You can also play RNG versions of dealer-led casino poker, and RNG versions of popular game show titles.

There are scratchcard games too, and these video poker titles:

Double Double Bonus, Deuces Wild, Jacks or Betters, Aces and Eights, Deuces Wild Multi Hand, Casino Hold’Em, Casino Stud Poker, Aces and Faces Poker, and another version of Hold’Em.

Bonuses at Casino Lab

Casino Lab free spins

Bonuses are always among the first things that you will see at a casino site, they can take in free spins, deposit bonuses, tournament play, money back offers, prize draws, and more. Loyalty schemes and VIP programmes are also covered in our casino bonus reviews.

Let’s go and read the small print.

Welcome Bonus at Casino Lab

The headline offer at Casino Lab is “Up to £100 and 300 free spins”.

That’s a generous sounding start, let’s see what it really means.

At the moment the free spins are available on Reactoonz.

They are credited in sets of 30. The first set is given to you when you make a qualifying deposit. The rest of the spins are granted in sets of 30 on each day for the next 9 days. Spins are valid for 72 hours after they are granted.

Qualifying deposits start at £10.

The wagering requirement for all bonuses is 40 times.

This means that players must bet with 40-times the amount of the bonus before they can withdraw the bonus or any money that is won by playing with the bonus. For free spins, the wagering requirement applies to the winnings, and the most a player can withdraw from their free spins is £100.

Deposits made with any e-wallet (the site accepts Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe, Paypal and Ecopayz) do not qualify for the bonus.

All bonuses must be used within 14 days of the bonus being granted.

So, if a player deposits £10 to trigger the welcome bonus they will be given 300 free spins (over 10 days), and £10 in bonus funds.

In order to withdraw any money won with the £10 of bonus funds, the player will need to deposit and play with £400 of their own money.

If the player wins £50 with their free spins they will need to play with £2,000 of their own money before they can withdraw that £50.

They will have to meet these limits within 14 days. While the player is working off these requirements they will only be allowed to bet £5 on each slot spin of £30 on other games.

Wagering requirements include weighting. This means that games do not contribute to the entire value of the money wagered on them towards the wagering requirement.

At Casino Lab, all of the money bet on “video slots” (with a long list of exceptions, including jackpot games, video poker, and some specific titles) counts towards your wagering requirement, but only 75% of the money bet on classic slots counts.

Bet on table games and only 10% of the money you spend counts towards your wagering requirement, and if its blackjack then the figure falls to 5%.

There are also a list of behaviours, including “minimal risk wagering” that are against the rules and could cost players their entire bonus.

Bonus money can only be spent when there is no “real money” in an account.

No matter how much you win you cannot withdraw more than £2,000 from bonus money.

Other Promotions at Casino Lab

Promotions change regularly, so you need to check in when you sign up to see what is available. When we called in we found these promotions:

A Pragmatic Play promotion with daily and weekly prizes, playing across numerous sites and with a £2.5 million total prize pool

A live casino welcome offer of 100% up to £100.

And a single deposit bonus of up to £100 at 25% available each month.

Loyalty Schemes and VIP

There doesn’t appear to be a loyalty scheme at Casino Lab, though there is a VIP programme. VIP programmes are commonly opened to players by invitation and members will be given perks including faster payment processing, gifts, birthday promotions, larger payment limits, personalised service and more.

VIP programmes usually reward players who spend a lot and they reward them for more spending.

Casino Lab Live Casino

Live casinos have become the must-have at any good casino site. Casino Lab has a large live casino site and an exclusive live casino bonus, it uses games from excellent providers, including Evolution, the largest live casino company in the world.

Live casino games do not work quite like other games. It may not be possible to get a seat at the game you wish to play, for example. Tables are often limited to VIP members, and starting bets are usually higher than for RNG games.

Please be careful playing live games, and please always treat live casino staff with all the respect you would like to be treated with yourself.

On offer at Casino Lab are:

Roulette, including Lightning Roulette, European Roulette, Auto Roulette, Immersive Roulette, French Roulette, and American Roulette. There are also language versions and VIP tables, all accessed through a dedicated roulette lobby.

Blackjack games include: Power blackjack, Green Diamond Blackjack, Free Bet Blackjack, Infinite Blackjack, Fortune Blackjack, and many more. You can play VIP and ranked games too.

Baccarat was being played in eight versions at our visit. This included lightning baccarat, commission baccarat, squeeze and more.

Among the other live casino games at Casino Lab were poker variants, Dragon Tiger, virtual sports games, dice games and game shows like Monopoly Live and Crazy Time.

Casino Lab Mobile & App

Casino Lab is available to all mobile and tablet device users via a responsive website, there is no need to download an app.

Payments can be made by Debit card, Boku mobile app, Paysafecard, Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz, Trustly bank transfers, PayPal, MuchBetter, Mifinity, and Jeton.

All deposits are free. Minimum withdrawals for all withdrawal methods start at £10 and go as high as £5,000.

Customer Support

There is a large FAQ section that has good quality information and a set of pre-prepared answers for common problems like the loss of a password.

You can also phone Casino Lab’s helpline on 08007555348 from the UK and on 00356 27780065 in the EU, or you can email [email protected]

The Final Verdict

Casino Lab is a good quality new site that has the decency to add a gimmick to its theming and design!

Seriously, we see a lot of sites coming from large companies that really put the bare minimum effort into making their sites stand out.

If you like the Steampunk look and feel of Casino Lab that may be a good enough reason to give this site a spin because it’s got a lot going for it, and certainly nothing that marks it down against the vast majority of casino sites.

It has a big selection of games, taking in slots of all sorts, casino games, video poker and scratchcards. It has a huge live casino with Evolution Gaming titles everywhere, including some of the biggest hits in the business.

And Casino Lab is well set up, well designed, and has all the services you would expect from a decent site, including good payment options (PayPal, hooray!), with attractive limits and a welcome offer that is comparable with the best in the market. No-one likes wagering requirements and these are quite high, but not prohibitively so, and we think you can enjoy Casino Lab till your Bunsen burns out!
