Slotnite Casino Review

For our readers, a Slot Nite is a good nite, but is this nicely designed Slotnite Casino site one you should consider tucking under the covers with you?

Slotnite is kind of an odd theme, and we’re going to chalk it up to a phenomenon of the internet age called: All the Good Names Were Taken marketing.

So, we’ll forgive the designers here if they haven’t really followed through on the idea or spending the nite with slots?!

Slotnite is a brand of WhiteHatGaming.

They are, they say themselves: “White Hat Gaming is a state-of-the-art iGaming platform, providing a secure, scalable and flexible solution. Our proprietary product includes player account management (PAM) and a digital wallet via a fully centralised back office, fraud detection & prevention tools, CRM integration, a content management system, plus much more.”

WhiteHat Gaming are based in Malta, where they are licensed by the local authorities. They also have a UK Gambling Commission for a large number of gambling services.

The company operated 34 domain names, most of them under the White Label model. White label sites are something like a franchise model: a company like White Hat sets up a site with all the facilities you need to run a successful casino, and then another company operates it. We can’t tell you exactly how the revenue and decision-making split is handled in these deals.

Among the White Label sites under White Hat’s licence are: Jackpot Village, Slot Planet, and Casimba.

They also run some sites more directly, including this one, Hello Casino and 21 Prive.

A few of their sites are no longer active.

The site is dark and very good looking, in a modern style, with the main splash slogan being about the company’s 2,000 casino games. That’s a very encouraging figure, but should you jump into a bet for a Slotnite’s sleep?

Let’s have a look.

Slotnite Casino Pros & Cons

There is good and bad in everything – except for Leeds United, which is perfect – so we need to have a look under the bonnet and check out what’s really going on at Slotnite Casino.

To start with the good!

1 – Licensed, legal and legitimate

We never ever recommend or review sites that it is not legal for UK players to play at. That means that the site must be licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.

We have mentioned already that White Hat Gaming, the company that runs Slotnite have a licence. It is Account Number 52,894, and the site is licensed to provide bingo, casino, gambling software, real even betting and virtual event betting.

The company’s licence is not completely clean however, In January 2021, White Hate Gaming was pulled up by the Gambling Commission for failures over account handling related to money laundering protection measures and safer gambling measures. The company had to pay a large sum to the Gambling Commission and make changes to its policies.

A sanction like this doesn’t mean that the company will rip you off. All licensed sites should offer a fair experience and have games that are genuinely random. It’s a good reminder though, that players still need to take a certain amount of responsibility for keeping themselves safe when they play online.

2 – Slots and slots of games!

A headline figure of 2,000+ games is a big claim. It’s no longer completely out of the ordinary in the UK gambling industry though, with sites commonly having around 1,000 slots, and then a load of other games.

At Slotnite games are arranged in a number of ways, including by type, with slots, live casino games, jackpots, table games and other games all listed separately.

White Hat says it offers its customers over 100 providers to choose games from.

Slotnite seem to have taken full advantage of this and have a huge range of game providers from All41 Studios and Ainsworth to YOLO Play and Wazdan.

3 – Openness

Organisations love to go on about transparency. Politically and commercially, it’s a big deal (and rarely a promise that is kept, because if most governmental or commercial organisations told the unvarnished truth about their aims and methods you wouldn’t have anything to do with them).

We’ll take it for granted that Slotnite, like all businesses in current capitalism, exist primarily to maximise profits for their owners.

However, they do make it easy for players to find out things about the site.

This includes a comprehensive list of the RTP (theoretical return to player) on all games at the site.

RTP has its limits, as you’ll know if you read any of our other reviews, but this is a great thing to do and we wish more sites would offer this to players.

4 – PayPal is a plus!

When you describe an e-wallet you might as well cut out a lot of time-wasting verbiages and just tell people you mean, “something like PayPal.”

Well done to PayPal (with reference to our previous remarks about how businesses operate) for becoming so ubiquitous that they are definitional for a whole area of the internet.

PayPal is widely available and is good quality and highly trusted operator, and seeing them at a site is a good sign that the site is good quality too.

4 – Big Big Money

At the end of the day, we want you to stay safe when you play online, and with that in mind, we often recommend not even considering prize money when you look at casinos or slots. However, we are realists and we know that big prizes are a big attraction. So a ticker on the front page of the Slotnite site that shows a total jackpot prize that is approaching £50 million is going to be a big attraction for players.

5 – Live is everything!

For whatever reason – and we have our theories – live casino games have become the must-have in the casino world in 2021.

And Slotnite has a very good quality live set up with a small but perfectly formed set of games from Evolution Gaming, the world’s biggest live casino provider.

1 – Out of the Box

This site is one of a big family of sites. If you’ve been around the UK slots scene then you have probably already played at a White Hat Gaming site.

If you like these sites then that’s not a problem of course. If you don’t, you need to know who is behind the site and look elsewhere.

We found this to be a good quality site and worthy of investigation, but it’s a continuing problem in the UK gambling world that many sites are run by a few big companies so there is an illusion of choice that is not quite delivered.

2 – Licensing concerns

The licence here is up to date, and it is legal and safe to play at this site. However, it would be wrong to try to hide the fact that White Hat Gaming have had an issue in the past. For most players, the concerns about money laundering and safer gambling are a technical matter only, but they were serious enough for the Gambling Commission to get more than £1 million out of the company in total.

You can also set up a list of your own favourite titles and search for titles or arrange games by provider.

Table Games at Slotnite Casino

Casino games come in two varieties now. There are live games and the more traditional RNG games, which use a random number generator to make a game that is played by a single player alone on their computer or device.

The RNG Games at Slotnite are:

Titles include: Golden Rock Studios Roulette x2, GRS Roulette X5, Roulette, 3d European Roulette, European Roulette, Roulette Advanced, Roulette Master, French Roulette, American Roulette, European Roulette. There was a wide range of rule variants and game styles.

Blackjack remains the most popular online casino card game, and there was a big choice of games at Slotnite Casino including: Vegas Single Deck Blackjack, Vegas Downtown Blackjack, Atlantic City Blackjack, Vegas Strip Blackjack, European Blackjack, Blackjack 21+3 and the whole FELT range.

Video Poker

Other games include lots of scratch cards, but there is no separate listing of video poker games at Slotnite and you will need to find them in the general slot listings.

Bonuses at Slotnite Casino

Slotnite Casino

Promotions and bonuses are the main way that the casino industry uses to market itself. They come in a number of styles that can generally be grouped generically.

The main skill for the player is to learn how to understand what bonuses do – they deliver customers and money to casino sites – and whether they should even sign up for them.

Welcome Bonus at Slotnite Casino

The welcome bonus is a very attractive looking headline offer of: 100% match bonus up to £250 plus 100 free spins on your first deposit.

Let’s dig in.

First of all, we’d like to thank Slotnite for making their terms and conditions easy to find. They are so available in the fact that they are shown in the footer of every page – every site should be this transparent.

To qualify for the bonus you must deposit at least £10, and you can only withdraw amounts over £10.

If you withdraw any cash while the bonus is active then you lose the bonus and all bonus funds.

The bonus is delivered in three tranches over the first three deposits.

The first deposit is worth a 100% bonus up to £250 plus 100 bonus spins on the Aloha Cluster Pays slot.

The second deposit delivers a 50% bonus worth up to £200 along with 50 bonus spins on Gonzo’s Quest.

And the third deposit gives you a 50% bonus worth up to £50 and 50 free spins on Temple Of Nudges.

In order to release any of the funds related to this bonus, you must complete the wagering requirements. These are 35-times the bonus plus the original deposit.

So, this is, for example, an amount of £700 that you must deposit and play with in order to release the winnings from even the smallest bonus you can claim.

There are limits to which games contribute towards paying off these wagering requirements.

While you’re paying off this amount you cannot bet any more than £5 per bet, so you are committed to making 140 bets as soon as you sign up. Make a higher bet and you’ll lose the bonus and all your bonus funds.

You have 30 days to release all of your bonus funds and just 10 days to use your free spins.

This is how welcome bonuses work. They give what the player thinks is a large free gift but then commits them to play a lot of money in a short period of time if they want to release any of that money from their account.

You should understand this before you sign up and before you accept a bonus. Be prepared to use welcome bonuses as a way to tour a site rather than as a way to make money.

Other Promotions at Slotnite Casino

The only other promotion offered when we visited was a loyalty scheme:

Loyalty Schemes and VIP

The loyalty scheme is called XP Points.

These points are earned by spending money and then players are rewarded with prizes as they pass certain milestones in the number of points that they score.

Players are automatically opted-in to the scheme when they sign up.

Wagering requirements apply to bonus funds and free spins awarded through the XP system, which works with a meter on the player’s account.

Slotnite Live Casino

The live casino is relatively small at Slotnite, but it is a good quality selection of games from Evolution Gaming, the world’s largest and most popular live casino company.

This means you can play:

  • Live roulette in a number of variants,
  • Live blackjack in a number of variants,
  • Live poker including casino hold ’em Texas hold ’em Caribbean stud, three card poker,
  • Baccarat and Dragon Tiger,
  • Game shows including Mega Ball 100, Dream Catcher, and Deal or No Deal, and
  • Virtual sports.

Slotnite Mobile Casino and App

You can access most of the games on Slotnite Casino with your mobile device by simply browsing their website on your usual browser. There is no download app here. This is a matter of taste, but apps may encourage players to not shop around if they are not happy with a site.

Banking is available from a large number of payment providers including:

Visa, MasterCard, Trustly bank transfers, SoFort, Paysafecard, PayPal, MuchBetter, Skrill, Neteller, Bank Wire, and interact.

Customer Support

Support is available via email at [email protected] and there is a live chat available at the site.

There is a full complaints process explained on the website that includes a three-stage routine that starts with the customer contacting the site, then a review, then escalation. If you’re not happy with what the site provides then you can go to eCOGRA, the industry dispute resolution body.

Safe Gambling at Slotnite Casino

There is a full Responsible Gambling Policy at Slotnite and it includes a number of tools available to players via their accounts.

You can set your own deposit limits, reminders of how long you’ve been playing, take time-outs, and monitor your spending with an account history feature.

You can also self-exclude for any period up to 5 years.

The company also provides links to GAMSTOP for gambling blocks.

There is a lot of good quality advice and sign-posting to BeGambleAware, GamCare, Gamblers Anonymous, and GamBlock.

Parents are advised to use Net Nanny and Cyber Sitter.

The Final Verdict

The last things we wrote in this review showcase some of the positives of this generally excellent site. There’s a lot of good information to be found on Slotnite and it is generally easy to understand and easy to access – they can’t be accused of hiding things, including the terms of their welcome bonus, which are by no means the worst we’ve ever seen.

There’s plenty to get stuck into as a site as well. There’s a big selection of games, they are made by good providers, and they are well categorised and easy to find because of it.

The live casino has good quality games, though by the standards of 2021 it is relatively small and you can see from the name on in that Slotnite is aimed at slots fans first and foremost – through the casino games section is large and up to date.

The downsides are relatively minor in our view. We’ve made our views on franchise models clear plenty of times, but the truth is the UK casino market has much less choice than the market would like you to think.

That’s not to say that you won’t have a great time at Slotnite Casino even if you have played at other White Hat Gaming Sites and you could certainly enjoy yourself for a good long time even if you only ever played slots.

With quality written through the design, this is a welcome addition to the UK slots scene.
