May 1st, 2023: Wynn Resorts Limited, a leading developer of high-end hotels and casinos in the United States, has announced new developments and the latest renderings for its newest Dubai project. In a press release and presentation, the company shared that the latest project will be named the Wynn Al Marjan Island, a luxurious new resort and shall become the next architectural landmark in the United Arab Emirates.
The beachfront resort on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah takes inspiration from the dramatic views of the Arabian Gulf. This Wynn project collaborates with local partners Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding LLC and will rise more than 1,00 feet above sea level and cost over $3.9 billion.
Wynn Al Marjan Island takes inspiration from the natural landscape
Like most Wynn Resorts properties, this new project integrates impressive design and environmental aesthetics. The resort’s design takes inspiration from the natural landscape surrounding the resort, including the famed Arabian Gulf. Also, the same curved shape of the beach is used as the guide in designing the podium structure, and its final rendering shall echo the design of a great opera house.
Thanks to this exciting and functional geometric configuration, guests and residents shall be treated to majestic views of the sea, beach, and horizon. Furthermore, customers who dine in one of its many restaurants will be treated to the beach-facing promenade, with sweeping sea views.
According to Craig Billings, the CEO of Wynn Resorts, this project has passed strict planning and programming process. He added that he’s “incredibly proud of our design and development team’s ability to impart our legacy of rich, thoughtful design into a sun-soaked beachside resort that will delight customers, new and old.” He added that the Wynn Resorts team looks forward to its opening in early 2027.
Wynn’s signature and opulence remains
Although the design and construction teams take inspiration from nature, the planned Wynn Al Marjan will also reflect the company’s high-design opulence. Once it opens, the beachfront resort will boast 1,500 lavishly-styled suites, villas, and rooms. In addition, guests and residents can look forward to various betting and entertainment options, including a gambling area, 24 dining experiences, spa and wellness experiences, and a high-end shopping complex. In addition, Wynn Resorts also shared that this new resort complex will include a modern events center, a theater, and other facilities.
Ras Al Khaimah and its growing global reputation
Ras Al Khaimah is a fast-growing tourism destination. The Al Marjan Island boasts a growing portfolio of high-end hotel and residential developments with many amenities. Also, the island boasts over 7.8 km of pristine beaches and 23 km of waterfront. As one of the fastest-growing tourism destinations in the region, this Emirate consistently earned a spot in many ‘best travel destinations,’ including Time Magazine’s list of the World’s Greatest Places in 2022.
